American Spice Trade Association (ASTA)
ASTA is a trade association that represents the U.S. spice industry. It was founded in 1907 and represents the interests of approximately 175 members including companies that grow, dehydrate and process spices.<br /><br />
ASTA's members include US-based agents, brokers and importers and companies based outside of the U.S. that grow spices and ship them to the U.S. and other companies associated with the U.S. spice industry.<br /><br /> ASTA members manufacture and market the majority of spices sold in the U.S. at retail and to food processors.
British Retail Consortium (BRC)
BRC is a source of information, expertise and comment on many issues affecting retailing. It publishes monthly surveys on retail sales and prices which are viewed by the Bank of England, the Treasury and the City as key indicators for the economy.
Centre of the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI)
CPNI provides protective security advice to businesses and organisations across the national infrastructure
Codex Alimentarius
The Codex Alimentarius Commission was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme.
FDE Acrylamide Toolbox
FoodDrinkEurope published its Acrylamide Toolbox (revision 12) in 2009, reflecting manufacturers' work over the last decade to better understand how acrylamide is formed and how to intervene to prevent or mitigate its effects. The new version of the FoodDrinkEurope Acrylamide Toolbox is due to be published at the end of September 2011.
Food and Drink Federation (FDF)
FDF represents and promotes the interests of the UK food and drink manufacturing industry.
Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA)
GAFTA has been in force since 1878, when the London Corn Trade Association started operations. GAFTA promotes international trade and to protects the interests of its members.
Indian Spice Board
Spices Board (Ministry of Commerce, Government of India) is the flagship organisation for the development and worldwide promotion of Indian spices. The Board is an international link between the Indian exporters and the importers abroad.
International Pepper Community (IPC)
The International Pepper Community is an inter-governmental organization of pepper producing countries. The Community includes Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam as full members and Papua New Guinea and Hainan, China as an associate members.
Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD)
The Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) is a Directorate of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The primary aim of the Directorate is to ensure the safe use of biocides, industrial chemicals, pesticides and detergents to protect the health of people and the environment. The Directorate contributes specifically to HSE and Defra's objectives.
We support HSE's mission which is 'the prevention of death, injury and ill health to those at work and those affected by work'. By early intervention in the supply chain we seek to prevent the adverse effects of chemicals on people and the environment.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign
The Anaphylaxis Campaign is the only UK wide charity to exclusively meet the needs of the growing numbers of people at risk from severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) by providing information and support relating to foods and other triggers such as latex, drugs and insect stings.
The International Organization of Spice Trade Associations (IOSTA)
IOSTA brings together spice associations from around the world to address common issues and seek sensible solutions to ensure the sustainability of the spice industry.
